Northfield Flood 2010

NFFLD

About this collection

The purpose of this collection is to archive images, video, oral history, data, and documentation related to the September 2010 flood. While the flood affected Rice County, MN, this collection mostly focuses on the Carleton College campus and Northfield vicinity. These materials highlight the impacts of the flood on campus as well as how the community responded to the flood. While there were several immediate environmental, social, and physical impacts of the flooding, some of the longer term impacts are just now being discovered and will continue to be uncovered in the coming years. This collection adds to these ongoing discoveries.
