Combat helmet (also known as a doughboy helmet) used in World War I by Herbert L. Buck, Co. K, 309th Infantry, 78th Division, New York and New Jersey. He participated in the battles at St. Mihiel and Argonne. Helmet has red semi-circle with lightning bolt painted on side.
